What: Toledo SOUP- 3rd Course Event!
When: Sunday, September 8th
Time: 5-9 p.m.
Details: Toledo SOUP is back for its third course of crowd-funded community projects. Please join us on Sunday, September 8th, from 5-9 p.m. at Toledo School for the Arts, located at 333 14th Street #4 in Uptown Toledo.
You’ll hear from five new presenters, including Genevieve Abalos (The Art of Hope), Ben Cohen (The Macelwane Park Basketball Court Project), Aimee Reid (Children’s Theatre Workshop), Rachel Richardson (Art Corner Toledo) and Jamie Sampson (ADJ-ective New Music). Visit the Toledo SOUP Facebook page to learn more about these presenters. The public will decide which proposal will benefit from SOUP’s crowd-funding assistance.
So how does SOUP work? First you come to the event and donate $5 at the door ($1 for children ages 12 and under). Then eat a simple meal of soup, salad and bread while you listen to ideas for new community projects. Finally, vote for your favorite project. The top vote-getter will be awarded all the funds collected at the door.
If you plan to attend the 3rd course of Toledo SOUP, please RSVP for the event on Facebook so we can get a general headcount.
New this year, check An Afternoon With Art, An Evening With Soup. Prior to the SOUP event, Maxwell Austin of Glass City Pedicabs is hosting an art fair and bake sale from noon-5 p.m. outside of Toledo School for the Arts. For additional information, including artist inquiries, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 419-309-3780.
