fb event page

Working on a project but need help communicating your mission, goals, impact, and vision for the future in order to receive necessary funding?

Let us help!

Toledo SOUP is hosting a Proposal Workshop as an opportunity for anyone with a project based in Greater Toledo Area to refine their message in preparation to submit before the 5/1 deadline.

Leading the workshop, Toledo SOUP is honored to have Tana M. Schiewer. Tana, CEO of Schiewer Consulting, LLC, brings 15 years of grant writing and 10 years of nonprofit management experience to her consulting work with nonprofits and small businesses. Specializing in fundraising, grant writing, and copywriting, Tana’s commitment to excellence and dedication to the people she works with have resulted in high praise from her clients, including one who called Tana his “secret laser beam fired from our secret volcanic lair.”

First timers, let us show you how simple it is to apply to win funding for your local project.

Past submitters, try again! We can give you direction on how to strengthen your previous proposal.

This event is free and submitting is free. We’re not leaving any room for excuses. Proposals are due May 1st to be considered for the 5th Anniversary SOUP Social at Hensville on 5/21. You can do it!

We want you to have your best chance at winning the micro-grant during our next community-based crowdfunding dinner. You could win anywhere between $750 – $1250 for your project.

Eligibility?
The projects can be about ANYTHING! No restrictions. As long as the project is about the Greater Toledo Area. For example, we’d accept proposals from Activists, Artists, Crafters, Community Members, Doers, Entrepreneurs, Educators, Event Planners, Makers, Players, Problem Solvers, Small Business Owners, Upstarts & More!

SOUP Social #12 –
May 21, 2017 @ Hensville

Vote to support your favorite project while we bring together locally-minded people over a tasty bowl of soup (with all the fixings, of course)!

How it works:
1. Put $5 in the basket at the door.
2. Eat soup made by local chefs and listen project proposal presentations.
3. Vote for the project you want to win everyone’s $5s.
4. Celebrate as the winner receives the pot o’ money!

Every dollar raised at the event from entry donations, bake sale, and raffle ticket sales will go to the winner. With your help, we will raise $750 – $1250 for a small, feasible project that will have a big impact on the area.
