Lyndsey Stough, Executive Director

Lyndsey Stough is an occasional adventurer and sampler enthusiast living in Sylvania where she works as an associate architect at Stough & Stough Architects.

Serving as executive director of Toledo SOUP, council member of the City of Sylvania, and founder of Happy Hour Toledo are a few of the ways that she stays busy supporting a strong region.

Born and raised in the area, she is proud to have stayed in northwest Ohio and to call it home.

Lindsay Akens, Raffle Lead

Lindsay Akens uses art to build bridges between local organizations and communities.

She has proven herself in several capacities at The Arts Commission over the past several years and currently serves as its Creative Placemaking Facilitator.

She holds B.A. in Fine Arts from BGSU and a Masters of Public Affairs from The University of Missouri-Columbia.

In her spare time, Lindsay is one of our Toledo Bubble Sharks.

Eric Britton, Treasurer

Eric Britton is a Partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP., and a founding member of Toledo SOUP.

Eric has extensive experience representing employers and plan trustees on RISA compliance and benefit plan design matters. He also regularly represents privately held companies with respect to stock options and other executive compensation issues, and assists clients with benefit issues in a variety of corporate transactions. Eric also has substantial experience in ESOP transactions.

Natalie Gray, Venue Lead

Natalie Gray is a recent graduate from the University of Toledo with a B.A. in Communications.

With a focus on creative nonprofits, her experience includes development work at Toledo School for the Arts as the Alumni Relations Liaison and a summer at The Toledo Museum of Art in the Special Events department.

In 2016, Gray joined The Arts Commission’s Creative Placemaking team, and in 2018 became the Youth Services Coordinator.

Rob Krain, Chef Lead

Rob Krain is executive director of The Black Swamp Conservancy, a local organization working to protect and restore northwest Ohio’s valuable natural habitats.

Rob earned a degree in Environmental Policy & Analysis from BGSU and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. 

He is a past chair of the Coalition of Ohio Land Trusts and ODNR’s Maumee River Advisory Council. Rob has been honored as a Toledo 20 Under 40 and member of the Land Trust Alliance’s Advanced Leadership Program.

In his spare time Rob enjoys kayaking, gardening and hosting music events.

Britney McSweeney, RFP Lead

Britney McSweeney is a Toledo transplant with a passion for communities.

She holds a B.A. in International Relations and International Business from Grand Valley State, which she utilized while living and working abroad for several years.

In her current role, as a Epic Trainer for Trinity Health, she enjoys helping build confidence and expertise of individuals from an array of backgrounds.

Ben Pushka, Marketing Lead

Ben Pushka has had a variety of careers and adventures.

He spent his time at The University of Georgia traveling the country, camping, hiking while giving his students hands-on educational experience. He has been a community advocate during a term of AmeriCorps. He has worked at Mobile Meals of Toledo, where he did a variety of jobs.

Ben currently works for the Board of Lucas County Commissioners as an Executive Assistant and ADA Coordinator for the county.

He holds a B.A. in Education and a Masters of Public Administration from BGSU. In his free time, he runs marathons, with a goal of running 12 of them in 2020.
